We are excited to have been selected one of four music groups from across the UK to take part in a pilot study about inclusion.  Run by Making Music, the umbrella body for UK leisure-time music groups, INCLUDE is an 18-month programme giving music groups an opportunity to explore ways in which they can include more people from a more diverse demographic in their activities and connect more closely with their local communities.

Over the course of the programme, Making Music will support us to:

  • create and deliver an action plan to make our group more inclusive
  • produce two events in our local community
  • connect with other groups to share our learnings and challenges
  • inspire other music groups by sharing our journey, which others can use to develop their own access and inclusion work.

INCLUDE is funded by Arts Council England as part of its initiative to engage with and fund areas that have previously been low on investment – these places can be found in the Levelling Up for Culture Places list.
